The Trouble With Fate: a Mystwalker Novel

available December 24th, 2012!

I HAVE TWO WORDS FOR WEREWOLVES:

My name is Hedi Peacock and I have a secret. I’m not human, and I have the pointy Fae ears and Were inner-bitch to prove it. As fairy tales go, my childhood was damn near perfect, all fur and magic until a werewolf killed my father and the Fae executed my mother. I’ve never forgiven either side. EspeciallyRobson Trowbridge. He was a part-time werewolf, a full-time bastard, and the first and only boy I ever loved. That is, until he became the prime suspect in my father’s death…

BITE ME.

Today I’m a half-breed barista working at a fancy coffee house, living with my loopy Aunt Lou and a temperamental amulet named Merry, and wondering where in the world I’m going in life. A pretty normal existence, considering. But when a pack of Weres decides to kidnap my aunt and force me to steal another amulet, the only one who can help me is the last person I ever thought I’d turn to: Robson Trowbridge. And he’s as annoyingly beautiful as I remember. That’s the trouble with fate: Sometimes it barks. Other times it bites. And the rest of the time it just breaks your heart. Again…

First in the incredible new Mystwalker series!

An apology is due–I didn’t include links to all of the online booksellers who have put their faith in the Mystwalker series. Such a terrible oversight; I’m red with shame.  To those I originally ignored, please accept my sincere apology.  I used the first link that came online, then forgot I included a link. *blush* What a doofus.

I don’t know how to do those widget things–my website is being redesigned at this very moment. But until then, here are some links for you (in alphabetical order). If I missed anyone, let me know.

Nice blog and I can’t wait to read your book.

Sounds exciting! I look forward to it! I admire writers. Songwriting is so different in that you have to fit a story into 3.5 minutes. I’d be afraid to write a novel. My father is an author. I know how hard he works on his books. Keep us posted!!

Amazon says that A Trouble With Fate will be released on December 26th though…? So is that the final date or is it actually going to be released in January?? Totally dying to know!

    • Leigh Evans says:

Ashley, if you’d seen my face as I read your comment…*blink*…my book’s already listed on amazon?…wow…I’m on amazon…*takes pulse* To be honest, this is the first time I’ve seen a date other than the vague “January 2013”. Tell you what–later on today, I’ll email my editor, and inquire. If it is, I’ll go and change the date on the Books by Leigh page. You want to hear a secret? *lowers voice to a whisper* The cover’s gorgeous. When I first saw it, I thought, “It’s purple. I don’t like purple.” Then I looked at it and thought, “Now, I love purple.”

Found this page by name (that irresistible urge to google your own name struck) but found you to be a very thought provoking writer. Looking forward to your published work!

    • Leigh Evans says:

Thank you so much, Leigh Evans. *grin* You couldn’t have timed that for a better day. I’m feeling vast amounts of suck-itude about my writing today:-)
Now, on the subject of the shared name…would you be the yoga guru? Because I, too, have googled the name.

I found your website via a tweet by @KerrySchafer. THE TROUBLE WITH FATE sounds like a great read! I’ll be adding it to my TBR pile. 🙂
